Elderflower Old Fashioned

This cocktail is for those of you who ask yourselves, "What do I do with this bottle of St. Germain?" Sweet and floral (and displayed in a very elegant bottle), the French elderflower liqueur is usually found in bubbly cocktails. Not my thing at all.
If your home bar, like mine, is full of whiskey and lacking champagne, give the Elderflower Old Fashioned a try. St. Germain takes the place of the sugar cube (or simple syrup) in an Old Fashioned and lends a subtle floral touch to the classic drink.

ELDERFLOWER OLD FASHIONED
Makes 1 drink.
2.5 oz bourbon
.5 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur
A few dashes of bitters
1 lemon twist, for garnish
In a mixing glass, stir together bourbon, St. Germain, and bitters with ice. Strain into a lowball glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with lemon zest.
